Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. seeks an entry-level architect/PM assistant in Baton Rouge, LA, to support QA/QC processes and project coordination.

You will work with project managers to ensure standards are met, assist in producing construction documents, and communicate with clients and consultants. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s in architecture, are actively pursuing licensure, and have up to 3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture or related field from an accredited university.
• Actively pursuing Architecture licensure.
• 0-3 years of experience in architecture design or project management.

Responsibilities

• Work with Project Managers to ensure QA/QC standards are met across programs and projects.
• QA/QC standards are program and project dependent.
• QA (proactive) focuses on preventing defects by implementing processes and standards.
• QC (reactive) focuses on identifying and correcting defects in final documents.
• Assist with producing construction documents and reports through effective communication with team members, consultants, vendors, and clients.
• Travel to project sites as requested.
• Produce construction observation reports and balance multiple projects.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in architecture or related field
