Job summary

The George Washington University is seeking a Program Associate in the Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs (OGPA) to support graduate programs and fellowships. You will coordinate events, advise students on resources, and assist with policy development and communications.

This hybrid, on-site role in Washington, DC requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with faculty, staff, and students across GW schools and colleges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; conferred by start date.
• Equivalent education/experience accepted as substitution.

Responsibilities

• Organize academic and social events, including venue bookings, catering, and travel for guest speakers.
• Serve as point of contact for graduate students; guide on policies, deadlines and processes.
• Prepare informational materials, brochures, handbooks, and guidelines.
• Collaborate with faculty, deans, chairs, and staff to align with institutional goals.
• Participate in committees and strategic planning to improve graduate student experience.
• Assist the Assistant Director with projects, including coordinating OGPA programming.
• Maintain and update the OGA website and manage social media accounts.
• Coordinate content for monthly OGA newsletters and assist with policy-related correspondence.
