Job summary

The University of New England in Maine seeks an Associate Director of Graduate Admissions to lead counseling and applicant services from inquiry through matriculation. This role supervises Graduate Admissions Counselors, ensures consistent service across programs, and maintains timely, accurate admissions processes in collaboration with academic partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; eight+ years in graduate admissions or enrollment management.
• At least two years of direct supervisory experience.
• Experience improving applicant service, enrollment conversion, or team performance.
• Experience with health-professions or professional graduate programs; CRM and Slate familiarity.
• Strong organizational, analytical, coaching, communication, and judgment skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee applicant service from inquiry handoff through matriculation.
• Coordinate with leadership to align admissions criteria, review practices, and compliance.
• Monitor decision accuracy, data quality, and reporting; coordinate corrective action.
• Lead post-cycle reviews and implement improvements into procedures and training.
• Support counselor hiring, onboarding, and continuity planning with leadership.
