The University of Houston's Computer Science Department seeks an advisor to support graduate students from admissions through graduation. You will help with degree plans, petitions, and coordinating student meetings.

Responsibilities include processing graduate admissions, guiding students on funding, policy questions, and course planning; maintaining student records; and coordinating orientations and seminars.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4-year degree preferred; education considered in lieu of experience.
• Experience with student records, admissions, or retention is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and strong communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Advise current and prospective graduate students from admissions through graduation.
• Process graduate admissions applications.
• Interpret and communicate academic policies to faculty, students and staff.
• Maintain admissions and student files/records.
• Coordinate student meetings such as orientations, seminars and workshops.
