Job summary

Barnhill Contracting Company in Raleigh, NC seeks a seasoned Project Superintendent to lead daily operations of a project crew, align with company mission and values, and ensure safety, quality and schedule adherence. You will manage field teams, coordinate subcontractors, read plans, control materials, and mentor staff.

Requires high school or equivalent and 5 years in construction, plus multiple certifications; offers competitive benefits and growth.

Qualifications

• Education Level: High School degree or equivalent; training and work experience acceptable.
• Work Experience: 5 years in construction industry.
• Required License/Certification: NC Driver License, Erosion Control Level II, OSHA 10 or 30-hr, Traffic Control Installer Certification, Traffic Control Supervisor Certification, MSHA, EEO, Asphalt Certification, Smith System Defensive Driving

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams to implement and maintain a clean and safe work site; motivate field operations to exceed productivity and budget goals.
• Manage day-to-day schedule/coordination; ensure field team and subcontractors work efficiently.
• Assist Superintendent/PM in overall schedule; maintain communication on material, manpower and potential delays.
• Responsible for Quality Control and Field Documentation per requirements.
• Read and understand plans; apply details to complete the job independently.
• Train and mentor direct reports and field personnel; set clear goals.
