Construction Superintendent – Raleigh, NC
We are searching for a Construction Superintendent on behalf of our client, a heavy civil and demolition contractor in the Raleigh, NC area. This role will oversee different skilled crews, help keep the job on track and handle a fast-moving site on an exciting build in Raleigh!
Position Offers

Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and coordination for all on-site construction activities, serving as the primary field contact for the project team.
- Schedule and direct daily construction activities to ensure timely completion of work.
- Ensure projects are constructed in accordance with contractual documents, specifications, and quality standards. Understand scope and identify changes.
- Monitor, identify, and enforce safety and environmental standards.
- Facilitate weekly progress meetings with the design team, trade partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain and distribute jobsite documentation (Daily Reports, JSA’s, Inspections, Etc.)
- Managing self performed activities to ensure that work is being performed within the established project budget, production, and schedule.
- Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions and ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
- Oversee punch list development, completion, and project closeout activities.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite at all times.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience as an Assistant Superintendent or Project Superintendent with a mid- to large-size commercial general contractor.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in the construction industry.
- OSHA 30 and CPR Certifications (preferred).
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Strong computer skills, including construction management software, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Extensive knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and interpersonal skill to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking abilities with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Physical ability to navigate job sites and perform various tasks.
