Job summary

Fountain Development LLC is seeking an experienced Civil Grading Foreman to lead grading and sitework crews on commercial and residential projects throughout Western North Carolina. You will direct daily field operations, coordinate equipment and manpower, and ensure work is completed safely and per plans.

The role requires strong leadership, plan-reading skills, and the ability to manage multiple crews in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in civil construction, grading, or site development.
• Ability to read and interpret grading plans, construction drawings, and elevations.
• Proven leadership and ability to coordinate multiple crews and activities in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Commitment to jobsite safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise grading and sitework crews on active construction sites.
• Plan and coordinate daily work activities, manpower, and equipment to meet project schedules.
• Read and interpret civil plans, grading plans, specifications, and elevations.
• Ensure grading work meets required grades and specifications.
• Coordinate with project managers, surveyors, subcontractors, and other trades to keep projects moving.
• Operate and oversee heavy equipment safely, including excavators and dozers.
• Maintain daily records and communicate project needs and field conditions to management.
