Fountain Development LLC is seeking an experienced Civil Estimator to pursue and estimate site-development projects throughout Western North Carolina. The role covers grading, earthwork, storm drainage, utilities, paving, and other sitework.

The ideal candidate understands plans, bid documents, and how labor, materials, and equipment come together to produce competitive estimates. You will review plans, perform takeoffs, develop costs, solicit subcontractor pricing, and prepare bids while

Qualifications

• 5+ years of civil/sitework estimating experience
• Strong knowledge of grading, earthwork, utilities, storm drainage, sewer, water
• Ability to read and interpret civil construction plans and bid documents
• Experience with estimating software and digital takeoff tools preferred
• Understanding of construction costs, labor, materials, equipment, and production
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines with accuracy

Responsabilités

• Review civil plans, specs, and bid documents to define project scope
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for earthwork, utilities, drainage, paving, sitework
• Develop material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs
• Solicit and compare pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
• Prepare competitive bids and proposals
• Identify project risks and opportunities during estimating
• Collaborate with project managers to develop realistic production estimates
• Maintain estimating documentation and relationships with contractors and suppliers
• Track upcoming projects and pursue new work opportunities
• Maintain organized estimating records
