Job summary

Idaho Materials & Construction, a CRH Company, is seeking a Front Line Supervisor for civil construction projects in Idaho. You will oversee laborers and operators on storm utility, earthwork, and concrete tasks, ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion while traveling to job sites.

The ideal candidate has years of excavation/grading experience with heavy machinery, reads plans and specs, and can manage daily activities and cost reporting.

Qualifications

• Must have multiple years of excavation and grading experience with heavy machinery on civil construction projects.
• Able to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Strong mathematical understanding for grades, slopes, yields, etc.

Responsibilities

• Lead the crew and promote a safety-first work environment.
• Coordinate with Project Manager and Superintendent on daily instructions and tasks.
• Supervise and coach personnel to complete jobs on time and to plan.
• Read, interpret, and follow owner's plans and specs.
• Supervise equipment operators and laborers to ensure proper execution per field layouts.
• Ensure proper compaction, ride-ability, and aesthetics of work.
• Perform equipment operator and laborer duties when needed.
• Notify management about changes requiring plan adjustments and obtain approvals.
• Maintain equipment and shop communication for safety and maintenance needs.
• Keep time and material records for daily job costing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Capably perform essential functions with or without accommodations.
