Job Description

UMMARY DESCRIPTION: The Milford School District is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Reading Intervention Teacher to provide targeted literacy instruction for Kindergarten and First Grade students in a part-time capacity. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with classroom teachers, specialists, and administrators to identify students needing additional reading/early literacy support, implement evidence-based literacy interventions, monitor student progress, and help ensure students develop strong foundational reading skills.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Valid New Hampshire certification in Elementary Education and/or Reading and Writing Specialist certification.

Strong knowledge of the science of reading, foundational literacy instruction, and evidence-based reading interventions.

Experience administering and interpreting literacy assessments.

Ability to use student data to drive instructional decisions.

Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.

Experience working with young learners in an elementary setting preferred.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in applicable field of education from an accredited college or university required.

Minimum of three (3) years direct experience as reading teacher, or equivalent training and experience required.

Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.

CERTIFICATE AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: Certified by the NH State Department of Education required.

FSLA Status: Exempt

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday; 5.5 hours per day (0.85 FTE) Position Type: Part-time
