Job summary

Manchester Boys Club Inc. is seeking a Grade 2-3 Director to plan and oversee after-school and summer programs for grades 2-3.

You will supervise staff, manage budgets, and collaborate with families to ensure high-quality, safe, and engaging programming aligned with BGCGM youth-development principles. Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 1–3 years of experience working in early childhood or elementary youth programming.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid Certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must pass criminal background and drug screening.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to manage program expenses and adhere to budget guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation, and evaluation of engaging programming for grades 2-3.
• Design schedules balancing academic support, physical activity, leadership, and social-emotional growth.
• Oversee daily lesson plans and activity implementation by staff.
• Develop and implement summer programming for upper elementary members.
• Foster a positive, inclusive climate for youth development.
• Meet with parents/guardians to discuss progress or behavioral matters.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate part-time program staff.
• Monitor staff schedules and supervision ratios.
• Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to staff.
• Ensure safety, documentation, and policy compliance; manage center operations.
