Job summary

Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) seeks an experienced educator to plan for appropriate learning experiences aligned to the district AKS curriculum and to provide an environment conducive to students’ intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development.

The successful candidate will demonstrate command of the subject, develop instructional objectives, assess student progress, integrate technology, and collaborate with administrators, colleagues, parents, and the community to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education from a PSC-approved college or university.
• Knowledge of GCPS AKS curriculum and related standards.
• Ability to integrate technology into instruction and assessment.

Responsibilities

• Plan learning experiences based on the AKS curriculum to support student development.
• Demonstrate command of the subject being taught and set instructional objectives.
• Identify prerequisite skills and plan instruction to promote mastery.
• Analyze student work and assessments to determine instructional needs.
• Prepare lesson plans and plan appropriate assessments of student learning.
• Provide formative and summative assessment results to guide instruction.
