Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a System Engineer to assist in developing technical collateral and proving concepts for GPU server products. You will define and implement data center and server technologies, create proofs of concept, and present features at industry events.

You will serve as the go-to expert on system and application benchmarks for GPU and networking/DPU teams. The role emphasizes collaboration with product managers and engineers, with opportunities for on-site client support and travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering required.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in system/server architecture development and debugging.
• GPU experience is a plus; network and liquid cooling experience also a plus.
• Strong knowledge of computer architecture, server technologies, and data center operations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to present complex concepts effectively.
• Familiarity with GPU and cloud computing technologies; CRM tools experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Root cause diagnosis of system failures and isolation of components for fixes.
• Contribute to product development and support for hands-on engineering levels.
• Provide on-site customer support, up to 20% travel as needed.
• Develop test automation and document findings for team sharing.
• Collaborate with Sales, Field Engineers, and Product Managers on requirements.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive development and implementation.
