Job summary

Super Micro Computer is seeking a System Engineer to support the development of technical collateral for in‑house GPU server products and to define cutting‑edge data center technologies. You will create proofs of concepts and present benchmarks to product teams and customers.

You will work with product managers, engineers, and sales to gather requirements, perform system analyses, and deliver technical presentations at events where Supermicro showcases its products.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years hands‑on experience in system/server architecture development and debug.
  • GPU experience a plus. Network and Liquid Cooling experience also a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of computer architecture, server technologies, and data center operations.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Root Cause Diagnosis: Identify and analyze the root cause of system failures and isolate components.
  • Product Development: Support hands‑on L6, L10, L11 development, assembly, and support.
  • Customer On-site Support: 20% travel for on-site collaboration and support.
  • Test Automation and Review: Use scripting to automate validation tests and report insights.
  • Collaborative Product Requirements: Gather/refine product requirements with Sales, Field Engineers, and PMs.
  • Cross-Functional Project Work: Engage with Engineering, Sales, IT on projects to ensure cohesive development.
