Job summary

Baseten is seeking an experienced GPU fleet and supplier management leader to own the operational and analytical supply side of the company’s GPU fleet. You will manage lifecycle, health, observability, utilization monitoring, and remediation across neocloud and bare-metal environments.

You will drive suppliers to keep the maximum fleet online, maintain live capacity reconciliations, and own fleet health accountability including SLAs, MTTR, and RMA cycles.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10+ years within infrastructure, working within the compute lifecycle to maximize functional compute.
• Direct experience managing GPU, server, or data center hardware supplier relationships
• Understanding of fleet health, RMA processes, and differences between contracted and delivered capacity
• Ability to pull data, build reports, and generate insights independently
• Comfort with ambiguity and building processes or tools where needed
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with finance, infrastructure/engineering, legal, and security
• Experience at a hyperscaler, neocloud provider, or AI infrastructure company preferred
• Familiarity with NVIDIA H100/H200/GB200-class systems, power/thermal constraints, and compute supply-chain dynamics preferred
• Experience running formal supplier corrective actions preferred
• Ability to work onsite Tuesday–Thursday at the San Francisco or New York office
• Unrestricted work authorization in the United States

Responsibilities

• Own the operational and analytical supply side of Baseten’s GPU fleet
• Manage GPU fleet lifecycle, health, observability, utilization monitoring, and remediation across neocloud and bare-metal environments
• Drive suppliers to keep the maximum amount of the GPU fleet online and healthy
• Maintain live reconciliation of contracted, provisioned, healthy, and utilized capacity by supplier and cluster
• Own supplier-attributed fleet health accountability, including replacement SLAs, MTTR, and RMA cycle times
• Monitor SLAs against contract terms, file and pursue credit claims, and enforce remedies
• Drive supplier remediation plans when performance falls short
• Coordinate internal communications for supplier maintenance affecting availability
• Take on adjacent work and close capacity gaps as the function evolves
