Job summary

Kv Power, Lp in Texas is seeking a Fleet GPS Installer/Shop Hand to install, configure, and test GPS tracking devices, dash cameras, and other vehicle monitoring equipment on a variety of vehicles. This role involves running cables cleanly, verifying system functionality, and providing basic client support. Overtime and 50% travel may be required.

The technician must read wiring diagrams, handle hardware with care, and maintain detailed records, with a strong focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
At least 1 year of direct experience with GPS/dash cams in vehicles.
Must pass background check and drug test; clean MVR.
Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

Install and configure GPS tracking systems, dash cams, and telematics equipment in vehicles.
Run wiring and mount hardware safely and neatly according to manufacturer specifications.
Test equipment for accuracy, connectivity, and functionality.
Diagnose and repair installation or connectivity issues.
Maintain installation records and report completed work.
Assist shop in moving vehicles and light mechanical tasks as needed.
Keep the maintenance yard and shop clean and organized.
Follow safety and company policies.
