Job summary

ProPetro Services, Inc. is seeking a GPS Technician to install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair GPS devices in company transportation units across Texas and New Mexico.

The role includes GPS database management, camera system installation/removal, field data collection, and quality control. The position requires a valid driver’s license, basic knowledge of electronic equipment, and a willingness to learn evolving GPS technologies.

Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 months’ experience maintaining and repairing GPS equipment.
  • Must have a valid, current driver’s license.
  • Bilingual English-Spanish preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of electronic equipment and GPS systems.
  • Willingness to learn emerging vehicle and GPS technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and update GPS databases.
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and decommission GPS devices and associated equipment.
  • Install and remove camera systems in company transportation units.
  • Perform GPS operational activities, including field data collection, data management and quality control.
  • Create, process, and close work orders upon completion.
  • Travel regularly to company locations throughout Texas and New Mexico.
  • Safely operate a company vehicle during day or night hours, across varying terrain and in all weather conditions.
