Job summary

RTX's Guidance Electronics Team in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Principal GPS Subsystems Engineer to develop GPS electronics for missile products, including architecture, requirements, design, and testing.

You will collaborate with missile-level system engineers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to deliver robust GPS/IMU navigation subsystems, Kalman filter integration, and MBSE-based designs. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• STEM degree and 8+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Engineering experience in electrical hardware development.
• Experience in subsystems, systems engineering, and RF subsystem requirements.
• Ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret clearance before start date.

Responsibilities

• Analyze hardware designs, subsystems, and components.
• Architect new electronic systems and document requirements.
• Review designs as a subject-matter expert.
• Present to peers, management, and government customers.
• Interface with suppliers of navigation electronics components.
• Work with a multi-disciplined team and travel as needed.
