Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal GPS Subsystems Engineer in Tucson, AZ, to develop GPS electronics for missile products. The role involves architecture development, requirement definition, design and testing of GPS subsystems, and collaboration with suppliers and missile-level teams.

The position requires a DoD Secret clearance, extensive experience in RF/navigation subsystems, and a strong background in systems engineering and MBSE. Significant travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience.
• Experience with electrical hardware development.
• Experience in subsystems, systems engineering, requirement development, developing RF electrical subsystems and/or requirement validation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD Secret clearance prior to the start date.

Responsibilities

• Architecting new electronic systems and developing subsystem requirements and test plans.
• Interface with suppliers of navigation or guidance electronics components to manage programmatic activities.
• Collaborate with missile-level system engineers to develop requirements for the GPS subsystem.
• Provide GPS electronics solutions including architecture development, electronics design, analysis, modeling and testing.
