Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal GPS Subsystems Engineer in Tucson, AZ to develop GPS electronics solutions for missile guidance systems. The role covers architecture development, requirements, electronics design, modelling and testing in close collaboration with missile level teams and suppliers.

You will work within the Guidance Electronics Team on RF, NAV/IMU, GPS subsystems, and will engage in cross-functional reviews, analysis, and verification activities, including some travel and mentoring

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree and 8+ years of engineering experience.
• Experience with electrical hardware development and subsystems engineering.
• Ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret clearance prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Analyze hardware designs, subsystems and components; architect new electronic systems; develop and document subsystem requirements and test plans.
• Perform interface work with suppliers of navigation or guidance electronics components, IMUs and GPSs.
• Mentor and be mentored; collaborate with cross-functional teams and government customers.
• Travel as needed, including foreign travel; work with multi-disciplined teams.
