Job summary

Karl Storz SE & Co. KG in the United States (Texas, Stafford area) is seeking a GPDP Project Manager to lead complex product development programs from concept to manufacturing.

You will coordinate across software, hardware, systems engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and service to ensure on-schedule delivery within cost targets and regulatory quality standards. This role operates in a hybrid Agile / GPDP stage-gate environment and requires a project leader who can manage work

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of experience managing complex hardware and software development projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical project management experience.
• Experience with GPDP, stage-gate, Agile, or hybrid Agile product development environments.
• Proven ability to manage software development lifecycles and hardware engineering deliverables.
• Strong project planning skills with MS Project and Agile planning tools.
• Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder management, mentoring, and influencing skills.
• Ability to travel up to 10% annually.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex OR Integration product development programs from concept through pilot phase, transition to manufacturing, and release.
• Create and maintain project execution plans, delivery timelines, cost goals, schedules, budgets, and deliverables aligned with GPDP and Agile practices.
• Drive cross-functional execution across software, hardware, systems, audio/video engineering, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, service, and product teams.
• Own schedule visibility by managing dependencies, critical paths, risks, mitigation plans, and forecasted delivery dates.
• Ensure engineering deliverables such as BOMs, part numbering, drawings, subsystem plans, and long-lead items are reflected in project plans.
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineering during production ramp and support feedback-driven improvements after release.
• Communicate project status, risks, decisions, and delivery expectations clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
