Job summary

Venture Search represents a leading US bank expanding its Private Funds Advisory business in New York. They seek a GP Relationship Manager to support execution and delivery of private equity fundraisings and related advisory mandates.

The role involves coordinating cross-functional fundraising efforts, liaising with senior bankers, institutional investors and lawyers, and maintaining rigorous project plans to ensure timely mandates and accurate investor materials.

Qualifications

• Prior experience at a placement agent is essential.
• Experience working on private equity fundraisings and/or private markets advisory mandates.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to execution.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to interact with senior professionals and external clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate multiple private funds advisory and fundraising projects from inception through to completion.
• Work closely with senior bankers and deal teams to ensure mandates are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
• Coordinate timelines, deliverables, data requests and internal/external stakeholders across multiple fundraising processes.
• Act as a central point of contact for project management and execution-related matters.
• Prepare and maintain project plans, tracking tools, meeting materials and status updates.
• Coordinate the preparation and distribution of fundraising materials, including presentations, investor materials and supporting documentation.
• Manage data rooms, investor pipelines, due diligence processes and information flows.
• Liaise with private equity clients, investors, legal advisers and other third parties throughout the fundraising process.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or bottlenecks and proactively drive resolutions.
• Support senior team members with client reporting, meeting preparation and ongoing mandate management.
• Contribute to improving internal processes, systems and best practices as the business continues to scale.
