Job summary

Venture Search, in partnership with a leading placement agent, seeks a VP or Director to join its New York team. The role focuses on originating, managing, and closing fundraising processes for private funds, building high‑level relationships with US institutions, and delivering tailored investor solutions.

You will collaborate with GPs and internal teams to articulate market propositions, stay ahead of industry trends, and drive mutual success through disciplined execution and superior client

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
• Experience at a placement agent or in-house IR is essential.

Venture Search is partnered with a leading placement agent looking to add a either a VP or Director to its team in New York. The firm has established partnerships with renowned private markets GPs globally and, in light of its expansion, are currently seeking someone to support the origination, management and closing of their fundraising processes.

• Provide comprehensive coverage to clients, understanding their needs, and delivering tailored solutions.
• Advise clients on market propositions and strategies, staying abreast of industry trends and insights.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
• Previous experience at either a placement agent or in-house IR position is essential. Candidates who do not have this experience will not be considered.
• Proven track record in building and managing client relationships within the private funds space.
• Degree educated, preferably with a focus on finance, business, or a related field.
