Our client is a leading US bank expanding its Private Funds Advisory business in New York. As part of this growth, they are looking to hire a GP Relationship Manager to support the execution and delivery of private equity fundraisings and related advisory mandates.
This is an opportunity to join a growing team at the intersection of private markets, fund placement and investment banking, working closely with senior professionals, private equity managers and institutional investors.
Candidates must have prior experience working at a placement agent/Private Funds Group to be considered for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate multiple private funds advisory and fundraising projects from inception through to completion.
- Work closely with senior bankers and deal teams to ensure mandates are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
- Coordinate timelines, deliverables, data requests and internal/external stakeholders across multiple fundraising processes.
- Act as a central point of contact for project management and execution-related matters.
- Prepare and maintain project plans, tracking tools, meeting materials and status updates.
- Coordinate the preparation and distribution of fundraising materials, including presentations, investor materials and supporting documentation.
- Manage data rooms, investor pipelines, due diligence processes and information flows.
- Liaise with private equity clients, investors, legal advisers and other third parties throughout the fundraising process.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or bottlenecks and proactively drive resolutions.
- Support senior team members with client reporting, meeting preparation and ongoing mandate management.
- Contribute to improving internal processes, systems and best practices as the business continues to scale.
Requirements:
- Prior experience at a placement agent is essential.
- Experience working on private equity fundraisings and/or private markets advisory mandates.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to execution.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to interact with senior professionals and external clients.
- Experience coordinating complex processes involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
- A commercial understanding of the private equity fundraising process and the institutional investor landscape.
- The ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
