Job summary

OpenAI, Inc. is seeking a highly autonomous systems engineer to own and improve government-focused systems, including Salesforce Service Cloud and related integrations.

You will design, build, and maintain workflows and data models, collaborating across government, support, operations, security, and engineering teams. You will drive decisions, ensure production reliability, and translate operational needs into maintainable systems.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering or operating systems in a government environment.
• Deep Salesforce Service Cloud experience including Apex, LWC, Flow, data modeling, configurations and integrations.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with readable code and automated tests.

Responsibilities

• Own government support systems from problem definition through design, delivery, production validation, and ongoing operation.
• Design and build maintainable service workflows, data models, interfaces, and integrations.
• Partner with government, support, operations, security, and engineering teams to translate requirements into working solutions.
• Improve reliability and performance through automated tests, observability, safe releases, incident response, and recovery.
• Document architecture and procedures; automate repetitive work and contribute to other priorities.
