Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Accounting Analyst to join the Government Rates team. The role supports project accounting, timekeeping, and labor distribution for a 11,000+ employee organization, focusing on government contract accounting and HRIS implementation.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in accounting or payroll-related roles, is comfortable with detailed, repetitive work, and can learn new platforms quickly.

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years of accounting, project accounting, labor distribution, payroll/timekeeping, or a similar financial operations environment.
• Experience with Oracle or Oracle Cloud.
• Experience with Rippling.
• Detail-oriented with ability to handle high-volume tasks accurately.
• Strong Excel skills and technical aptitude.
• Ability to learn and navigate multiple systems and processes.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Support weekly project and timekeeping maintenance, including removing closed Oracle projects from Rippling.
• Process department change requests through the Jira queue.
• Monitor timekeeping support channels, resolve routine employee questions, and escalate complex issues when appropriate.
• Send pay-period timecard submission reminders and follow up with employees who have not submitted timecards.
• Perform first-pass reviews of timecard and labor correction requests for completeness and supporting documentation.
• Support project accounting and labor distribution activities across the organization.
• Compile supporting documentation for DCAA and PwC audit sample requests.
• Assist with month-end close activities as needed.
• Fulfill ad hoc labor reporting requests from Finance by pulling and formatting data by project, employee, or reporting period.
• Perform detailed manual data entry and transactional accounting work accurately and efficiently.
• Build productive relationships with employees and teams across different departments and levels of the organization.
• Support backlog reduction, process improvements, and HRIS implementation efforts.
