D&G Solutions is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our operations team. This role owns the core day-to-day accounting for a growing federal government contractor, managing payroll, accounts payable, bank and credit card reconciliations, cash receipts, and monthly close reconciliations.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and self-directed, someone who takes full ownership of a recurring workload, meets tight deadlines consistently, and raises issues early to keep

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited university
• 1–2 years accounting experience including AP, reconciliations, and expense reporting
• Hands-on payroll processing including reconciliations and journal entries
• Knowledge of GAAP and internal control principles
• Intermediate Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables) and MS Office
• Ability to manage recurring workload independently and meet deadlines
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication across teams
• U.S. person status required (per Immigration and Nationality Act)

Responsabilidades

• Process payroll end-to-end in Paycor
• Handle accounts payable cycle for vendors/subcontractors
• Record daily bank and customer payments in Unanet
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
• Ensure GL coding and project/cost center allocations
• Review expense reports for accuracy and compliance
• Coordinate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual close documentation
• Support annual audit and IRS 1099 preparation
