Job summary

Bowhead is seeking a qualified Government Fixed Asset Manager to support the PdM NMESIS contract in Stafford, VA. The role requires ensuring government property compliance, maintaining accountability records, and coordinating with operations, engineering, and logistics.

Responsibilities include audits, reporting, policy development, and acting as the primary contact for the Government Property Management System. A DoD background and ability to obtain a Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• BA/BS and 5–10 years of relevant experience; 4+ years may substitute.
• Fluent operational understanding of FAR 52.245-1 and related DFARS clauses.
• Experience with DoD programs required.
• Must be willing to travel as required.
• Secret-level security clearance may be required

Responsibilities

• Establishes policies and procedures and ensures compliance on all government property matters.
• Takes corrective action as necessary to ensure compliance with property requirements.
• Coordinates and consults with all government department functional categories to ensure government property is properly attended to.
• Ensures property accountability records are maintained.
• Coordinates disposal of surplus or obsolete material or equipment in accordance with government property management procedures.
• Conducts property audits; provides guidance to company on government regulations; prepares reports.
• Performs as the company’s Government Property Management System's principal contact with internal personnel, external stakeholders, and the customer.
• Ensures contract provisions and requirements to acquire, control, use, care for, report, and dispose of government property are met.
• Investigates, analyzes, and resolves deficiencies in the property control system as necessary.
• Coordinates disposition and disposal of customer assets and processing of excess property.
• Performs regular analysis of the government property system and maintains audits.
• Develops, maintains, and administers a Government Property Management Self-Assessment Program.
• Initiates and maintains contacts to resolve property issues.
• Ensures data integrity of reports submitted to the customer.
• Administers property issues/purchased under this program and ensures effective property control.
• Collaborates to develop and document standard processes.
