Job summary

Rea, a growing Top 100 business advisory & accounting firm in Ohio, seeks a Government Supervisor to oversee the preparation of financial statements for government entities and lead a preparer team. You will ensure regulatory accuracy, apply accounting principles, and strengthen internal controls within a collaborative, people-first culture.

The role requires 4+ years in public accounting, CPA or equivalent, and strong supervisory skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in accounting or equivalent is required.
• CPA or international equivalent preferred.
• MBA is optional but a plus.
• Experience in public accounting and supervisory roles is needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan and review the audit process and related procedures.
• Monitor engagement progress against budget and timelines.
• Supervise the Accounting Specialist team and provide feedback.
• Manage client relationships and expectations according to the project scope.
• Advise clients on internal controls, GAAP, and reporting requirements.
