Job summary

The City of Johns Creek is seeking a Finance Analyst to support governmental accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow forecasting, and financial analysis within the Finance Department. This role helps ensure the accuracy and integrity of the City's financial records while supporting financial planning, audits, and internal controls.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
At least two years of accounting or financial analysis experience.
Possession of a valid driver's license issued by the State of Georgia.
Satisfactory credit history.
Experience with governmental accounting principles (GAAP/GASB) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Analyze, reconcile, and verify financial transactions and records, including journal entries and schedules.
Support monthly and year-end closes, financial reporting, and audits.
Perform budget-to-actual and variance analyses and prepare financial reports for management.
Assist in preparing the annual Budget Book.
Forecast cash flow to support liquidity and inform decisions.
Administer procurement card program and support Accounts Payable.
