The City of Johns Creek is looking for a Finance Analyst to support governmental accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow forecasting, and financial analysis within the Finance Department. The role ensures accuracy of financial records and supports audits, internal controls, and procurement card administration.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and at least two years of accounting or financial analysis experience, plus GAAP/GASB familiarity

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• At least two years of accounting or financial analysis experience.
• Valid driver’s license (State of Georgia).
• Experience with government accounting principles (GAAP/GASB) preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze, reconcile, and verify financial transactions and records, including preparing journal entries and supporting schedules.
• Support monthly and year-end close, financial reporting, and internal and external audit processes.
• Perform budget-to-actual and variance analysis, identify trends and key drivers, and prepare financial reports and analyses for management.
• Support the preparation and compilation of the annual Budget Book.
• Analyze and forecast the City’s cash flow position to support day-to-day liquidity needs and inform management decisions.
• Administer the City’s Procurement Card program and provide cross-functional support for Accounts Payable and other Finance functions.
• Conduct financial research and special projects, prepare ad hoc reports, and identify opportunities to strengthen internal controls and improve financial processes.
