GRVTY is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist in Herndon, VA to manage inflows for government contracts and maintain precise records. You will process invoices, follow up on payments, and perform reconciliations.

The role emphasizes accuracy and regulatory compliance within a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in government-contracting AR, proficiency with Unanet and Deltek Costpoint, and a BS in Finance/Accounting/Business Admin.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounts receivable experience in government contracting.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations.
• Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and records.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel), Unanet and Deltek Costpoint.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.
• BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
• Clearable U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain detailed records of all receivable transactions, including invoices, statements, and customer correspondence.
• Prepare, verify, and process invoices for goods or services provided to clients.
• Follow up on, collect, and allocate payments received.
• Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
• Investigate and resolve customer queries.
• Generate age analysis reports to review outstanding accounts.
• Perform account reconciliations, adjusting entries, and generate financial reports for management review.
• Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with customers.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc forecasting reports.
• Participate in credit control activities and decision making.
