Job summary

Conner Industries, Inc. is seeking a Government Bid & Contract Specialist (Inside Sales) to manage U.S. Government and defense bid activity from solicitation to delivery.

The role requires finding opportunities, preparing accurate quotes, and serving as the daily contact with government buyers and defense primes. Travel up to 50% regionally is possible, with close collaboration across Sales, Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, contract management, or related field.
• 2+ years of government bidding or defense sales support experience.
• Experience quoting through DIBBS and SAM.gov.
• Familiarity with FAR and DFARS clauses and cost/schedule/compliance impacts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and qualify opportunities through SAM.gov, DIBBS, and procurement portals.
• Prepare, price, and submit compliant bids and quotes on time.
• Serve as primary contact with contracting officers and buyers.
• Manage post-award activity including order entry, tracking, and close-out.
• Ensure compliance with CMMC, NIST 800-171, and cybersecurity requirements.
• Maintain audit-ready bid files and track win rate and revenue in CRM/ERP.
