Job summary

Conner Industries, Inc. is seeking a Government Bid & Contract Specialist to manage U.S. government bid activity from solicitation to delivery. You will coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Finance to submit compliant quotes and ensure on-time performance.

The role requires experience in federal bidding, knowledge of FAR/DFARS, PIEE/WAWF invoicing, and ability to travel up to 50%. A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent mix of education and experience in government contracting.
• 2+ years in government bidding, federal contract administration, or defense sales support.
• Hands-on quoting through DIBBS and SAM.gov.
• Familiarity with FAR/DFARS clauses and cost/schedule impact.
• Experience with PIEE/WAWF invoicing and receiving reports.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and qualify opportunities on SAM.gov, DIBBS, and agency portals.
• Review RFQs/RFPs for technical fit, eligibility, and delivery schedule.
• Identify and route cybersecurity and CUI obligations under regulations.
• Prepare, price, and submit accurate bids and quotes on time.
• Coordinate with Engineering/Operations to meet MIL-STD packaging requirements.
• Serve as point of contact with contracting officers and buyers.
• Manage post-award activities: orders, delivery tracking, close-out.
• Submit invoices via PIEE/WAWF and track payments.
• Maintain SAM.gov registration and CAGE data.
