Job summary

The State of Alaska, Division of Legislative Audit, invites you to apply for a Summer 2027 Intern Auditor position in Juneau. This hands-on government auditing internship offers exposure to audit procedures, workpapers, and reporting under CPA supervision.

The role is fully onsite in Juneau, with a 37.5-hour work week, May 10 to August 13, 2027, and a competitive compensation of $36.25 per hour plus full State of Alaska benefits. Housing stipends may be available for out-of-town interns.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or possessing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Business Admin, Finance, or related fields.
• Completed Intermediate Accounting courses before start date; GPA minimum 3.25.

Responsibilities

• Assist with audit procedures and document audit workpapers.
• Research laws, regulations, contracts, and grant agreements affecting programs.
• Identify errors and summarize findings per audit procedures.
• Interview state agency personnel and document interviews.
• Gather audit documentation from agency personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
