Job summary

State of Alaska in Anchorage or Juneau, AK is seeking an Audit and Review Analyst 2 to conduct internal audits, oversee retirement system compliance, and support the DRB-FINANCE_LEAD division. The role involves educating employers on statutes and regulations, preparing audit reports, and occasional travel for on-site audits.

The position offers full-time employment with a flexible/hybrid work arrangement and is open to Alaska residents.

Qualifications

• Principles of Accounting: Knowledge of GAAP, full accounting cycle, ledgers and journals.
• Auditing: Knowledge of GAAP auditing standards and procedures for financial and program audits.
• Analysis and Assessment: Uses IT to access, analyze, maintain, and disseminate data.
• Compliance: Knowledge of procedures to assess and monitor programs for compliance with laws and guidance.
• Audit Reporting: Knowledge of reporting audit findings with criteria, condition, cause, effect, and recommendation.

Responsibilities

• Perform state retirement system compliance audits of participating employers.
• Budgeting, tracking and reporting on audits.
• Serve as a State Social Security Administrator for the program.
• Educate employers on Alaska statutes, regulations, and requirements.
• Provide quarterly and ad hoc reports to the ARMB Audit committee.
• Travel on-site audits and attend the National Conference of State SSA administrators.
