Qualifications

• Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles including double-entry and accrual accounting.
• Knowledge of GAAS and procedures for financial and compliance audits.
• Ability to access, analyze, maintain, and disseminate information using IT tools.
• Understanding of state and federal laws, regulations, and guidance for compliance.
• Familiarity with reporting audit findings including criteria, condition, cause, and recommendation.

Responsibilities

• Perform state retirement system compliance audits of participating employers.
• Budget, track, and report on audits.
• Educate employers regarding Alaska Statutes, Alaska Regulations and other requirements.
• Provide quarterly and ad hoc reports to ARMB Audit committee.
