Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group seeks a Governance Engineer II to turn enterprise API, data, security, and responsible AI policies into automated governance solutions. This remote role supports engineers, security, risk, and data teams across the enterprise.

You will build governance-as-code, guardrails for AI agents, and self-service tooling, enabling secure data access and compliant innovation while aligning with enterprise policies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in software engineering, API development, or related field.
• Experience with REST APIs and OpenAPI/Swagger specs.
• CI/CD pipeline governance and automated testing experience.
• Knowledge of API security concepts (OAuth, authentication, authorization).

Responsibilities

• Review API specifications for standards alignment.
• Translate enterprise policies into reusable patterns and templates.
• Establish engineering guardrails for AI agents and data access.
• Integrate API and governance controls into CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor API usage, security, compliance, and adoption metrics.
