Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is seeking a Governance Engineer II for a remote role across the United States. You will turn enterprise API, data, security, and responsible AI policies into automated governance solutions, building guardrails and governance-as-code to secure APIs and AI agents while enabling teams to innovate responsibly.

Collaborate with architecture, security, risk, data, and engineering teams to implement standards, lifecycle management, and self-service tooling.

Qualifications

• Experience designing REST APIs and data contracts.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and governance-as-code.
• Knowledge of API security concepts (OAuth, access controls).
• Insurance industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Translate enterprise policies into standards, controls, templates, and reusable patterns.
• Promote consistent API design, data definitions, schemas, metadata, error models, and access patterns.
• Maintain governance artifacts, including standards, reference implementations, reusable components, and technical guidance.
• Track compliance, exceptions, adoption, and remediation across engineering teams.
