Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group seeks a Governance Engineer II to transform enterprise API, data, security, and responsible AI policies into automated governance solutions. You will build governance-as-code, reusable standards, and guardrails enabling secure access to data, tools, and MCP resources.

Working with architecture, security, risk, data, and engineering teams, you will strengthen API and AI security, automate compliance and lifecycle management.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in software engineering or API development.
• Experience with REST APIs, OpenAPI specs, and lifecycle management.
• CI/CD automation, security scanning, and governance-as-code practices.
• Knowledge of OAuth, authentication, authorization, and access controls.

Responsibilities

• Review API specifications and data contracts for alignment with enterprise REST, security, and data standards.
• Translate policies into implementable standards, controls, templates, and reusable patterns.
• Promote consistent API design, data definitions, schemas, metadata, error models, and access patterns.
• Maintain governance artifacts, standards, reference implementations, reusable components, and technical guidance.
• Track compliance, exceptions, adoption, and remediation across engineering teams.
