Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group seeks a Governance Engineer II - Remote to translate enterprise API, data, security, and responsible AI policies into practical, automated governance solutions. You will develop governance-as-code, reusable standards, and automated guardrails that enable APIs and emerging AI agents to securely access enterprise data, tools, and MCP resources.

Working closely with architecture, security, risk, data, and engineering teams, the Governance Engineer will strengthen API and AI

Qualifications

• 2+ years in software engineering or related field.
• Experience designing and enabling REST APIs and data integrations.
• Experience with CI/CD governance and automated testing.
• Knowledge of API security concepts (OAuth, authentication, authorization).

Responsibilities

• Translate policies into governance standards, templates and reusable patterns.
• Establish guardrails for API, data, and AI governance across engineering teams.
• Automate compliance, lifecycle management, and monitoring of APIs and agents.
• Collaborate with security, architecture, data, and development teams.
