Job summary

Windward seeks a senior infrastructure leader to build and own a US federal GovCloud enclave from the ground up. You will design and enforce security, identity, networking, logging, and compliance across production workloads, orchestrate migration, and work with auditors and prime contractors.

You will manage Terraform-driven infrastructure, EKS workloads, and a small operations team, with a focus on security, conformance and rapid delivery in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Eligibility for active US Government security clearance (Secret minimum) with transferability.
• US citizenship is required.
• Strong AWS expertise: IAM, KMS, VPC, GuardDuty, Security Hub, Config, CloudTrail.

Responsibilities

• Build the GovCloud environment from scratch: accounts, networking, identity and encryption.
• Own the environment end-to-end for availability, security, cost and audit readiness.
• Lead end-to-end migration of federal workloads with cutover plans and rollback criteria.
• Conduct internal audits and stand behind assessments before external auditors.
• Define FedRAMP authorization boundary with data flow diagrams and evidence.
