Job summary

Quantum Sky seeks an AWS Cloud Architect to lead expanding our Google Cloud platform into AWS, delivering a production-ready AWS offering with secure, compliant architecture for FedRAMP, NIST, and RMF controls. The role requires hands-on AWS engineering, Terraform IaC, DevSecOps, and mentoring of junior engineers while collaborating with customers and security teams across projects.

You will drive architecture reviews, create documentation, and ensure evidence for ATO and ongoing monitoring

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, information systems, engineering, or equivalent.
• 7+ years designing and implementing enterprise IT infrastructure.
• 4+ years hands-on AWS architecture experience.
• Strong knowledge of AWS architecture, IAM, Organizations, SCPs, Control Tower, VPC, Transit Gateway, EC2, EKS, S3, CloudWatch/CloudTrail, KMS, Secrets Manager.
• Hands-on Terraform and IaC experience.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CodeBuild/CodePipeline).
• Experience with federal cybersecurity frameworks (FedRAMP, FISMA, RMF, NIST SP 800-53).
• Containers and orchestration (Docker, EKS, ECS); container security best practices.
• Ability to document security controls, evidence, continuous monitoring, and remediation processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, scalable AWS solutions including GovCloud that meet security and compliance requirements.
• Lead migration of GCP-based platform to AWS with equivalent security controls.
• Develop Terraform modules and CI/CD pipelines for AWS deployments.
• Support security assessment, ATO, continuous monitoring, and evidence collection.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with security, compliance, and customer teams.
