Job summary

System One is seeking a Senior Windows Server / Cloud DevOps Engineer to own Windows Server production operations in AWS GovCloud, manage Kubernetes (EKS), and drive secure cloud architectures for federal environments.

The role requires 10+ years IT experience, strong scripting with PowerShell, Terraform and Ansible, and the ability to obtain a Federal Public Trust clearance. On-site in Washington, DC.

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT/engineering experience.
• 3+ years cloud engineering experience.
• Windows Server operations with patching and maintenance.
• Experience with AWS GovCloud and federal frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Own Windows Server production operations in government cloud (AWS GovCloud).
• Administer, patch, harden, and recover Windows Server systems.
• Lead Kubernetes (EKS) production workloads and incident responses.
• Design secure, scalable cloud architectures for Windows and Linux.
• Develop IaC using Terraform and Ansible for automation.
• Create CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps automation.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for availability.
• Ensure security best practices for federal environments; mentor engineers.
