Pantheon Data seeks a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to own security architecture, controls, and continuous monitoring across AWS GovCloud environments hosting sensitive workloads. You will design guardrails for identity, encryption, network security, threat detection, and vulnerability management to support ATO evidence and FedRAMP High/DoD IL4/IL5 compliance.

You will collaborate with DevSecOps and Cloud Operations, set security standards, and verify production controls.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in security engineering, cloud engineering, or related roles, including 3+ years securing production AWS environments.
• Deep, hands-on experience with AWS identity and access controls and guardrails.
• Experience operating cloud threat detection and security posture tooling and remediation.
• Experience implementing encryption, key management, and network security controls in cloud environments.
• Understanding of security compliance frameworks and translating them to technical controls and audits.
• Proficiency with infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred).
• Scripting in Python or Bash for security automation.
• Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or AWS Certified Security – Specialty.

Responsabilidades

• Design and enforce least-privilege access across a multi-account AWS organization.
• Define and maintain preventive and detective guardrails as code.
• Operate and tune AWS security services and integrate findings with SIEM.
• Own encryption and key management strategy for CUI/PII/PHI.
• Define security group standards and network boundaries with Cloud Operations.
• Run vulnerability and configuration scanning against DISA STIGs and CIS benchmarks.
• Map controls to NIST SP 800-53; produce continuous monitoring evidence for ATO.
• Mentor engineers on cloud security practices and publish secure baseline patterns.
