Ideal candidates have 14+ months retail experience and completed the WFM butcher apprentice program or equivalent training, with ability to lift 50 pounds and work flexible shifts including

• Proven meat-cutting and preparation skills.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, platters, and merchandises products (beef, pork, lamb, veal, poultry).
• Prepares specialty meat merchandise (sausage, oven ready products, cured meats).
• Checks product against WFM quality standards.
• Maintains sampling program.
• Monitors and assists in preventing spoilage.
• Mentors Meat Cutter Trainee(s).
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling.
• Ensures proper prep, storage, rotation, and pricing signage.
• Follows health, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Reports safety hazards promptly.
