Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company (BGC) is based in Tyler, Texas, and operates multiple banners across four states with over 215 stores. This role prepares chef-inspired, quality foods and assists with menu planning for catering events, working closely with deli staff to promote outstanding customer service and profitability.

Essential duties include cooking per recipes, stock monitoring, quality control, and friendly customer engagement, while maintaining safety and cleanliness in a retail deli

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• 21+ to drive for Company business per policy.
• One or more years cooking related experience.
• Food Handler certification required.

Responsibilities

• Plans and prepares products per recipe with portion control.
• Monitors stock levels and maximizes profit through portions.
• Works with deli to plan, prepare and fulfill catering orders.
• Enforces quality control and food safety; rotates stock.
• Promotes sales with appealing visual displays and suggestive selling.
• Greet customers, answer questions, and take orders over the phone.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary working environment.
