Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company (BGC) is seeking a deli team member to ensure hot and cold foods are prepared and displayed per standards. Work with deli staff to promote department sales and provide excellent customer service.

Based in Tyler, Texas, BGC operates 215+ stores across Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Oklahoma with five banners. This role supports upper management, handles inventory, and contributes to a safe, efficient store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 1+ year related experience.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• 21+ to drive for company business per policy.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Manager Food Safety certification required.

Responsibilities

• Train and develop partners, schedule, plan, assign, and direct work.
• Review historical data on sales, ads and promotions; co-manage inventory to maintain in-stock levels.
• Monitor sales performance, financial results, and product quality; support with P&L review.
• Ensure food safety standards and proper stocking/rotation of products.
• Assist with slicing, weighing, packaging, and labeling deli items; prepare catering orders.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and coordinate with truck unloading and paperwork.
• Promote sales through attractive displays and customer service.
