Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company (BGC) is seeking a friendly deli associate to prepare hot and cold items, assist customers, and maintain attractive product presentation. Based in Tyler, Texas, this role requires 18+ to operate equipment, a Food Handler certification, and a willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

You will collaborate with a team, learn new systems, and deliver friendly service.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16; must be 18+ to operate equipment.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist deli personnel with slicing, weighing, packaging, labeling, and preparing hot and cold deli foods.
• Clean, assemble, and prepare equipment and inspect for proper operation.
• Stock and rotate deli products to meet quality standards.
• Greet customers and take orders by phone and in person; promote product sales.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment following safety procedures.
