Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time LifeWise teacher to share the gospel in classrooms with both churched and unchurched public school students. You will use the LifeWise curriculum, build relationships with students, and model redemptive teaching in a caring classroom.

The role requires a mature Christian faith, active local church involvement, and reliable attendance for training, summits, and regular Lifewise activities. This is a part-time, non-exempt, on-site position in Ohio.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years classroom teaching experience (with students) in either a school or church setting.
• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the 'What We Believe' section of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training and certification within 30 days.
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the LifeWise curriculum and map out curriculum customization.
• Invest in connecting with students through building relationships and praying for them regularly.
• Maintain an organized, encouraging and redemptive classroom environment and apply LifeWise policies.
• Maintain attendance records, class rosters and materials for substitutes as needed.
• Keep classroom clean and well-ordered, and manage supplies with program director guidance.
• Communicate with school personnel and volunteers; share updates and photos with the program director.
• Promote LifeWise's religious mission in all duties and interactions.
